Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of PLAYD, a social platform focused on gaming life.

By creating an account or using PLAYD, you state that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Account and eligibility

Some PLAYD features require an account.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and using your account appropriately.

You may not:

• misleadingly use another person’s identity;
• create accounts for fraud, spam, or platform manipulation;
• use alternate accounts to bypass suspensions or blocks;
• use bots or abusive automation without authorization.

PLAYD is not intended for children under 13.

Users under 18 must use the service in accordance with applicable law and, when necessary, with authorization from their legal guardians.

2. User-created content

PLAYD allows users to publish content such as:

• reviews;
• comments;
• ratings;
• collections;
• biographies;
• avatars and banners;
• activities;
• information related to their game library.

You are responsible for the content you publish.

Do not publish content that is:

• illegal;
• threatening or harassing;
• promoting hatred or violence;
• involving the exploitation or sexualization of minors;
• exposing another person’s personal data without authorization;
• spam, scams, or fraud;
• violating copyrights, trademarks, or other third-party rights;
• containing malware or used to attack the service.

PLAYD may remove or limit content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

3. Moderation, reports, and blocking

PLAYD may review reports and take action against content or accounts that violate these Terms.

Depending on the severity of the situation, we may:

• remove or hide content;
• limit features;
• issue warnings;
• temporarily suspend an account;
• permanently close an account.

Users may report content or profiles through the tools available in the app or through Support.

Child safety: PLAYD does not tolerate child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, or the sexualization of minors. Child-safety reports receive priority review and are referred to the appropriate authorities when required by applicable law.

Users may also block other users.

Using other accounts to bypass a block may result in additional action.

4. Reviews, ratings, and social activity

Reviews and ratings represent the opinions of their respective users and not necessarily the opinion of PLAYD.

Artificially manipulating ratings, followers, or activity through the following is not allowed:

• bots;
• fake accounts;
• purchasing ratings;
• spam;
• artificial coordination intended to change scores or popularity.

PLAYD may remove or disregard activity identified as manipulative.

5. Your content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of the rights to the original content you publish on PLAYD.

By publishing content, you grant PLAYD a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as necessary to operate and make the service available.

This license may continue for the period technically required for backups or when retention is required by law.

PLAYD software, trademarks, visual identity, interfaces, and other original elements belong to their respective owners and may not be misused.

Trademarks, images, names, and other materials related to games displayed on the platform belong to their respective developers, publishers, or other rights holders.

6. Integrations and third-party services

PLAYD may offer optional integrations with third-party services, such as:

• Steam;
• Google;
• Twitch/IGDB;
• gaming platforms and stores.

The Steam integration may be used to import or synchronize information such as library data and playtime.

These services are operated by third parties and may change their APIs, permissions, availability, or operation.

PLAYD does not guarantee that external integrations will always be available or that third-party data will always be complete or accurate.

Use of these services may also be subject to the terms and policies of their respective providers.

7. Appropriate use of the service

You may not:

• attempt to access third-party accounts;
• exploit vulnerabilities;
• interfere with PLAYD operation;
• attack our systems;
• distribute malicious code;
• perform abusive scraping or automated collection;
• bypass security measures or technical limitations;
• use PLAYD for illegal activities.

We may apply technical limitations or suspend access that presents a risk to the platform or other users.

8. PLAYD availability and changes

We seek to keep PLAYD available and working properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The service may be interrupted for reasons including:

• maintenance;
• updates;
• technical failures;
• infrastructure problems;
• changes to third-party services;
• events beyond our control.

We may also change, add, or remove features.

When a significant change materially affects users, we will seek to provide appropriate notice when reasonably possible.

9. Account deletion and suspension

You may request deletion of your account.

PLAYD may also suspend or close accounts involved in fraud, abuse, illegal activities, or material or repeated violations of these Terms.

10. Liability

PLAYD is not responsible for opinions, reviews, comments, or other content published by users.

We also do not control the availability or operation of external services used by integrations.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, PLAYD will not be liable for losses arising exclusively from:

• content published by third parties;
• incorrect information provided by external services;
• unavailability of external integrations;
• use of the service contrary to these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded under Brazilian law.

When using PLAYD, we recommend that you read that document as well.

12. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the service, new features, or legal changes.

The date of the most recent version will be shown at the beginning of this document.

When a change requires renewed user acceptance, PLAYD may ask you to agree to the updated Terms again.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

Any disputes will be resolved under applicable law, including consumer protection rules where relevant.
